The work of Elías Gama considers the pictographic origin of writing, constitutes a tenacious intervention in the structures of meaning and casts a doubt on the limits of our languages and their rights in this period of rapid and radical change. By spatializing various signs, whether geometric, alphabetical or organic, his practice (painting, places and videos) seeks to reconcile the space of information with that of phenomena.
In 2013 he met the french artist Côme Mosta-Heirt, whose work and teaching will provide him a lasting encouragement.
