Elías Gama's art constitutes a tenacious intervention in the structures of meaning and casts a doubt on the limits of our languages and their rights in this period of rapid and radical change. By spatializing various signs, whether geometric, alphabetical or organic, his work (painting, in situ and videos) seeks to reconcile the space of information with that of phenomena.
In 2013 he met the french artist Côme Mosta-Heirt, whose work and teaching will provide him a lasting encouragement.
Graduated from Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2018. He recently participated in the exhibition “Interlude N ° 1” at the Parliament Gallery at the invitation of Achraf Touloub, he also presented his work at the Regard Neuf3 Festival (2021) with “Les frondaisons” intervention in situ in Montreuil. He is part of group shows at In Plano (2019), at Béton Salon,
at the Atelier Rhème (2018)
at the Anna Leonowens Gallery, Nova Scotia (2017), and at the Museum of Modern Art of the Universidad Nacional, Bogotá (2015).
Laureate of the sculpture project for the City of Fontainebleau (2022), of the Apes-Sequens open-call (2021), and finalist of the “Camus Project” launched by the Ministry of Culture (2020). He is also an audiovisual set decorator.
